In amidst the excitement of the 14.98’s boat show debut the shipyard was proud to announce the development of two new models at the Genoa Boat Show. The first, dubbed the new 12.98, is a completely new yacht designed from the ground up, following in the philosophy of the yard to create a yacht that can truly be used as a cruiser, racer, or both.

12.98 will be available in two major configurations, Bellissima and Fuoriserie, as well as multiple sailplan, keel, deck and interior options. As a true light handed cruiser, all lines led aft to four winches by the dual helms. As a true racer, with a traditional 6 winch cockpit layout and the possibility to add two additional winches for running backstays and adding a square top mainsail. Designed from the start to be the next ORC World Champion, she is lighter, carries more sail area, faster, better built, and better equipped than her competitors. The first 12.98 will be launched in May and several have already been ordered, 2022 delivery slots are almost full so call today!

The other announcement was the launch of the 20.98 project. This 66’ mini-maxi is a semi-custom design that will be equally at home cruising the islands or taking part in the larger yacht regattas in the Med and Caribbean. Lifting and fixed keel options will be available to suit the cruising territories of the owner.

In cooperation with B&G, Volvo, and Allspar and some of the most advanced centers for resin infusion, the 20.98 will feature fiber optic sensors as part of the hull laminate, allowing for load monitoring by the crew using electronic displays. Up this point this technology was only available to the most custom racing yachts, such as the recent Americas Cup.

Keeping with the Italia Yachts philosophy, the generous sail plan will be easy to control and excel in light breeze. While the hull geometry guarantees advanced stability and absolute safety in case of high winds, that distinguishes the Italia Yachts range.
