Since's the introduction of Italia Yachts USA in partnership with David Walters Yachts at the beginning of 2019 the brand has grown from a relatively unknown European manufacturer to one of the most exciting and innovative brands available in the US. Many have taken note of the racing performance of the brand in Annapolis where Italia Yachts USA Sales Director Erik Haaland has been campaigning an Italia 9.98 demonstration boat on the racecourse. Major accomplishments have been the winning of a 24-hour distance race under ORC scoring and currently, in the winter Annapolis Yacht Club Frostbite series the 9.98 is in First Place in PHRF 1 with a substantial lead on other competitors. Continuing to grow visibility with the brand an Italia 13.98 has entered into the 2020 Newport to Bermuda Race and three Italia Yachts are slated to participate in the 2020 ORC/IRC World Championship in Newport, RI early this Fall.
