Priva Sea V is the first hull in the Island Packet 485 series, making her a significant and well-built example of this highly regarded bluewater cruiser. As the flagship model of Island Packet, she represents the brand’s commitment to quality craftsmanship, seaworthiness, and comfort. Designed to handle offshore passages with ease, she features a powerful cutter rig that, combined with furling sails and electric winches, allows for effortless handling by a small crew or a couple.
Her center cockpit is both spacious and well-protected, complete with a full enclosure, ensuring comfort and security in all weather conditions. Whether crossing oceans or coastal cruising, Priva Sea V is well-equipped to deliver performance, safety, and ease of use. Priva Sea V is powered by a 100HP Yanmar diesel engine, providing reliable propulsion for long-distance voyages. Supporting her energy needs is an 8kW MasPower generator, ensuring uninterrupted power for onboard systems, even during extended off-grid cruising.
Below deck, Priva Sea V offers a bright, open, and well-ventilated main salon, creating a welcoming space for relaxation and entertaining. The yacht’s thoughtful layout maximizes living space while maintaining a sense of openness and functionality. She features two large staterooms, each with a private ensuite head and shower, providing luxurious accommodations for owners and guests alike. A third versatile cabin can be configured as a sleeping berth or a dedicated office/workspace, making her ideal for liveaboard cruisers or those needing additional functionality. The galley is positioned along the walkthrough between the main salon and the master stateroom, making it convenient to use whether at sea or at anchor. Designed for extended cruising, it offers ample counter space, storage, and high-quality appliances for meal preparation. The master stateroom is particularly spacious, featuring an athwartship island bed for maximum comfort. Priva Sea V features an expansive, light-filled interior that offers exceptional comfort for both families and crew. Designed for long-term cruising, her well-thought-out layout provides generous accommodations, ample storage, and a welcoming atmosphere.
This yacht is configured with three well-appointed staterooms, accommodating up to five guests, with additional pull-out berths for flexible sleeping arrangements.
The forward stateroom offers a large queen-sized berth with walkaround access from both sides, ensuring ease of movement. Beneath the bed, there are two spacious pull-out drawers and a lift-up storage locker, providing ample space for personal belongings. Shelving lines both the port and starboard sides of the hull, offering additional storage. Overhead, an opening hatch brings in natural light and ventilation, and built-in reading lights add a touch of convenience. This stateroom is also fully air-conditioned for optimal comfort.
The guest head is conveniently accessible from both the forward stateroom and the main salon. It features a large ensuite shower enclosed by an acrylic folding door, an electric head, a molded sink, and a spacious mirrored vanity with teak trim. Additional storage is available both above and below the sink, and an opening port provides ventilation.
Across from the guest head is the versatile third stateroom, which can be easily converted from an office space into a sleeping berth. This cabin offers abundant storage in various lockers, one of which houses a washer/dryer unit, making it an ideal space for extended cruising.
The main salon is designed for both relaxation and functionality. Large windows and opening hatches flood the space with natural light and fresh air.
To starboard, a pull-out berth converts into a queen-sized bed, providing additional sleeping space when needed. This area is surrounded by bookshelves and storage lockers, keeping the space organized and functional.
The forward bulkhead features a large adjustable TV and a fold-down dining table that doubles in size for entertaining. When not in use, the table stows away neatly, maximizing space.
To port, another full-sized pull-out berth is available, creating additional accommodations. A small cocktail table adds a refined touch to this comfortable seating area.
The entire salon is air-conditioned, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere regardless of the climate.
Aft of the salon on the port side, the dedicated navigation station is designed for serious offshore cruising. Equipped with a large opening chart table, a comfortable captain’s chair, and an electrical panel (12V & 110V), this space is both functional and well-organized.
Navigation and communication equipment includes:
- Chartplotter
- VHF radio
- Stereo system

Below the navigation station, a pull-out chart storage compartment keeps essential maps and documents secure. Adjacent to the electrical panel, you'll find the generator remote panel, watermaker control, inverter remote, EPIRB, and barometer.
The aft stateroom is spacious and inviting, highlighted by a queen-sized athwartship island bed with a pull-out drawer and lift-up locker for additional storage. Numerous hanging lockers and built-in compartments provide ample space for extended cruising. A built-in seating area is positioned across from the bed, creating a cozy and functional retreat.
Four opening ports and a large overhead hatch allow for excellent ventilation and natural light, while dedicated air conditioning ensures comfort in all conditions.
A private ensuite head is adjacent to the aft stateroom, offering:
- A large enclosed shower stall with a door
- An electric toilet
- Corian countertops with an integrated sink
- An oval mirror and mirrored medicine cabinet
- Additional storage beneath the sink
All staterooms and the main salon feature beautiful teak and holly flooring, adding warmth and elegance to the yacht’s interior. In high-wear areas such as the galley, heads, and companionway, durable non-slip flooring ensures safety and easy maintenance.
Priva Sea V offers a thoughtfully designed interior with abundant space, practical storage solutions, and premium finishes, making her an exceptional choice for extended cruising or liveaboard comfort.
